Activity Name: Creating Patterns and Graphs Age or Grade: K-2

Skills: Students will use geometric vocabulary and make a graph that involves counting and comparing skills and gain cooperative learning skills.

Length of lesson: 15 mins.

Review Time 15 mins.

Main Objectives:

This activity introduces children to topics in probability. It provides children with an opportunity to make connections among various areas of math.

State Standards:
MKG3.a
Identify a missing shape within a given pattern of geometric shapes.

MKG3.b
Extend a given pattern, and recognize similarities in different patterns.
